Our client, a unicorn cybersecurity startup revolutionizing data security, is seeking an energetic IT Manager to join our NYC team.
Location: On-site, NYC (Must be in the office 4-days per week with flexibility to work 1-day per week (day will vary based on business needs).
THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re seeking a talented and skilled IT Manager to oversee our company’s technology operations, including implementation, leading technology projects, ensuring alignment with our business goals, coordinating office relocations, and overseeing help desk operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing on-site Help Desk services to our local employees and remote services across the globe.
- Handling complex technical issues and escalating problems to higher-level support when necessary.
- Collaborating with other CIS teams and stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve system-wide issues, contributing to overall system and infrastructure improvements.
- Taking ownership of assigned tasks and projects, seeking guidance when needed, and jumping in proactively to contribute to strategic initiatives.
- Providing user support, training, and documentation to ensure effective utilization of systems & tools.
- Administering SaaS platforms (Okta, Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom and more) .
- Oversee and manage the company’s technology operations, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of IT systems.
- Plan and lead IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, integrations, office relocations, and managing the help desk operations.
- Develop and implement IT policies and systems to support the company's strategic goals.
- Conduct regular system audits and lead the optimization of IT infrastructure to improve performance and security.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and external IT vendors, managing contracts and negotiations.
- Ensure data privacy and compliance with all relevant IT and security laws and regulations.
- Manage and coordinate the IT aspects of office moves, including the setup and transfer of technical equipment and services, to minimize downtime.
- Monitor technology trends and maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices.
- Handle the budgeting, purchasing, and maintenance of all IT-related items and services.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years in software, cybersecurity, or data security
- Proven experience as an IT Manager or Senior IT support roles focusing on system management and project management.
- Strong understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, and cloud services.
- Experience leading and managing IT projects, including infrastructure rollouts, office relocations, and help desk operations.
- Excellent knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation.
- Solid understanding of data analysis, hardware/software installation, and maintenance.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills (though not directly managing staff).
