Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Land Acquisition Leadership : Lead the strategic efforts to secure land acquisitions, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall growth objectives and strategy.
  • Budget and Cost Estimation : Collaborate with the Subsidiary CEO to establish acquisition budgets. Provide accurate cost estimates during the due diligence process for prospective land parcels.
  • Investment Committee Presentation : Drive the preparation of comprehensive Land Packages for presentation to the Investment Committee (IC), ensuring clarity and thoroughness.
  • Project Management : Ensure adherence to the Annual Business Plan, managing schedules to maintain an inventory of vacant, developed lots, and preventing gaps between projects.
  • Support Subsidiary CEO : Provide critical acquisition information (e.g., proformas, cash flow projections, and lot delivery schedules) to support the Division’s Annual Business Plan.
  • Financial Analysis : Develop and manage proformas and quick-look analyses to assess the feasibility and projected performance of real estate acquisitions.
  • Market Analysis : Collect and present market data on proposed transactions. Conduct analyses to evaluate the economic viability of projects and ensure they align with the company’s ROI expectations.
  • Feasibility and Yield Evaluation : Evaluate potential acquisition sites for feasibility, expected yield, and alignment with company requirements.
  • Governmental Interactions : Collaborate with governmental agencies to secure land use approvals (e.g., zoning, platting) and work closely with city staff and councils.
  • Industry Networking : Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with brokers, land developers, homebuilders, and other industry professionals to foster business development opportunities.


Qualifications:

  • Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Land Acquisition role.
