This is an office-based position.ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking an experienced software development leader to drive innovation, manage multiple agile teams, and optimize software delivery across the value stream. This role will focus on leveraging new technologies, continuous improvement, and best practices to enhance development processes, ensuring high-quality, efficient software delivery that aligns with business goals.
Innovation & Leadership: - Champion the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions to enhance the development lifecycle.
- Encourage teams to explore new tools, frameworks, and methodologies that drive efficiency and quality.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:- Lead and mentor multiple managers of agile teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Help teams overcome challenges and align efforts with strategic business priorities.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a team to achieve ambitious goals.
Value Stream Optimization:- Drive end-to-end process improvements by identifying bottlenecks and introducing innovative solutions to streamline the software development flow.
- Focus on optimizing speed, quality, and cost-efficiency.
Best Practices & Process Innovation:- Introduce and enforce industry-leading development practices, including Agile, Lean, and DevOps. Use data-driven insights to continuously evolve and improve development processes, ensuring that teams are always learning and adapting.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of how technology supports business objectives.
Quality & Continuous Improvement:- Implement innovative quality assurance practices such as automated testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD) to ensure high-quality software at speed.
- Lead retrospectives and foster a feedback loop to iterate and improve upon development practices.
Stakeholder Communication & Reporting:- Communicate the value of innovations and improvements to stakeholders, providing clear updates on progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Use metrics and success stories to demonstrate the impact of innovative solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Experience in conflict resolution, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
Qualifications- 15 + years of software development experience, with at least 5-10 years of experience in a leadership role managing multiple teams.
- Advanced track record of driving innovation in software development involves a consistent history of introducing, implementing and scaling new tools, methodologies and technologies to improve processes, products and outcomes.
- Expertise in Agile (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), Lean, and DevOps practices.
- Advanced experience in CI/CD practices and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive experience in a fintech, or SaaS environment.
Preferred Qualifications:- Advanced experience with scaling Agile practices and driving innovation in large or distributed teams.
- Extensive experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architectures.
- Experience supporting the insurance or financial services industries.
