THE WORK:

  • (Internal Title-Program Management II)
    • Career demonstrating extensive experience, having managed infrastructure programs and major projects
    • Responsible for managing senior level customer client relationships
    • Has significant had involvement of managing complex programs /projects across various industries and sectors
    • Leads teams of professionals providing PMO and Project Controls services on large projects or technical specialist recognised as an expert in their own area of expertise
    • Has experience in organisational strategy development and the creation of high performance teams and a common culture
    • Apply industry acumen and expert-level Program management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to meet Program requirements
    • Implement and manage the Program from inception through to completion
    • Set the overall direction for the Program and organize activities per the established mission and goals
    • Ensure that the work is fully supported from a consulting standpoint in an integrated, compliant, efficient, and cost-effective manner
    • Create and manage short and long-term Program goals and success criteria
    • Develop a budget and operating or delivery plan for the Program in consultation with our delivery partners and client
    • Plan for and direct the appropriate means and methods to complete the Program services from inception through to completion
    • Forecast, in consultation with senior staff, the human and material resources required to complete the Program successfully
    • Formulate a resource allocation strategy and utilize this to distribute work and budgets between our delivery partners
    • Exercise authority in managing the work and controlling the delivery of the Program per the operating and delivery plan
    • Manage a large consulting team (may consist of multi-firm resources and client resources) leveraging a diverse array of talents and delegation of responsibilities
    • Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the Program life cycle
    • Develop an evaluation method to assess Program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
    • Continually evolve and articulate the Program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members
    • Ensure goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team member performance
    • Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure Program goals are achieved
    • Facilitate various focus and function meetings about Program initiatives
    • Plan for and meet with stakeholders (including senior management and sponsors) to make communication easy and transparent regarding Program issues and decisions on services
    • Direct accurate and timely reporting of Program status and performance throughout its life cycle
    • Identify and analyze Program risks and implement mitigation strategies and contingency plans
    • Review and ensure adherence to the overall operating or delivery plan scope, schedule, milestones, budgets, quality measures, and KPIs and address issues with corrective actions as appropriate
    • Deliver progress reports, proposals, and presentations to various audiences, including the Program team, senior executives, key stakeholders, and Company Operations
    • Manage scope change negotiations
    • Clarify and resolve internal quality control checks and issues
    • Build and maintain a positive, high-performing team culture with an openness to constructive challenge, continuous improvement, implementation of lessons learned, and overall 'right-first time" mindset

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 18 years of experience in Project Management
    • Minimum of 4 years in Program Management
  • Education:
    • Degree or equivalent with professional work experience in one or more specific disciplines in the Programme, Project or Commercial Management disciplines
  • Licenses OR Certifications:
    • Holding recognized certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP) and Program Management Professional (PgMP)
    • Membership with key industry Professional / Chartered Institutions
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Has strong experience across all technical delivery requirements across program and project level set up and delivery requirements
    • Demonstrates core strategic and delivery capability for setting up an organisation structure and integration with the customer / client vision and objectives
    • Demonstrates core strategic and delivery capability for setting up effective project controls systems & procedures and the establishment of the Program Control Centre and digital capture of data and progress, cost and other relevant program data for central reporting purposes
    • Strategic and Detailed understanding of construction methodology, innovative methods of delivery, technology, planning, delivery, site logistics, commercial & legal / contract issues;
    • Strategic and detailed knowledge of MCS established processes and procedures by role;
    • Strategic and detailed knowledge` of contract & commercial procedures;
    • Excellent attention to strategy and detail with the ability to lead the delivery partner team for compliance relating to the service agreement with Client and actionable requirements to meet the program targets and objectives
    • Maintains full awareness of key tool sets available on the market in the constancy, program and project management arena ensuring relevance and world class leading offer provided by the MCS JV Partnership
    • Expert grasp of prevailing Project Management methods
    • Extensive understanding of tools and metrics needed to evaluate project performance
    • Well-versed and experienced in managing the interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs
    • Experienced in developing and enforcing business processes and procedures, organizational structure, and governance practices for a Program
    • Able to autonomously formulate and make decisions on technical matters related to Program management services that have potential risk or commercial considerations with minimal consultation with leadership and Joint Venture Operations for soundness of approach
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
    • Mastery of Project Management Software
    • Expert ability to detect and be sensitive to others' strengths
    • Demonstrated capability to supervise, delegate, and develop capacity
    • Tact to perceive and ameliorate conflict and tension
