Job Title: Applications Engineer (CHEMICAL-engineering based; Located in Boise)Department: Applications & TechnologyReports to (position name): Lead Applications EngineerFLSA Status (Exempt or Non-exempt): ExemptPosition Summary / Job ScopeThe Applications Engineer will play a pivotal role in providing technical support and expertise in abatement applications for the US entity of centrotherm Clean Solutions. This role will collaborate closely with the Applications & Technology team and interface with various stakeholders to ensure effective integration of centrotherm Clean Solutions products in semiconductor processes.
Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities- Collaborate with customers to understand their semiconductor processes and requirements, providing tailored abatement solutions and specifications.
- Provide technical expertise in integrating centrotherm Clean Solutions products into diverse semiconductor manufacturing environments.
- Specify and validate system configurations for semiconductor customers, ensuring alignment with industry standards and Application BKMs.
- Conduct technical sales presentations to showcase centrotherm Clean Solutions applications in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Collaborate with technology, engineering, manufacturing, and sales department to assist in the continuous improvement of legacy products (CIP) and/or design and development of new products necessary to make target accounts successful.
- Work closely with Engineering and Application teams to prepare and review equipment engineering documents (SEED, etc.).
- Provide input and actively participate in abatement troubleshooting/expertise and resolving quality / process issues with pumps installed at target customer sites; actively participate in writing failure analysis reports and 8D reports to customer.
- Perform abatement calculations and develop system fingerprints during the specification process.
- Review and approve customer-specific chemistry change requests.
- Participate actively in installed base follow-up and optimization.
Secondary Functions- Participate in writing install, maintenance and service procedures with local field service support.
- Maintain well-documented records for fingerprints, calculations, and installation documentation.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects, safety meetings, task force and escalation meetings, management reviews, etc. as requested.
- Propose & participate actively in customer application training
- Occasional work in the subfab may be required.
- Assist in other applications team duties as needed.
- Cross-training for applications support in other products as needed.

QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Knowledge and Skills- Solid understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Strong project management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in data analysis and presentation building for customer engagement.
- Intensive knowledge of chemistry & processes used in semiconductor industry.
- Excellent autonomous problem-solving ability.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Minimum and Preferred Education/Training/Experience- Bachelor's Degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent experience required (Chemistry or Chemical Engineering background preferred)
- Experience in semiconductor applications or related field.
- Proficient in plotting data and building presentations for technical sales purposes.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions - Office-based role with heavy computer usage, located in Boise, Idaho.
- Occasional travel to regional customer sites and external conferences, estimated up to 20% of the time.

Pay range: $86,252 to $98,244 with
