JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for providing a comprehensive HR service to client groups, including Field Sales and the corporate functions located in the Dallas office.
The HRBP is an integral part of each client management team and is therefore responsible for developing effective working relationships, influencing and challenging senior management on human resource strategies and supporting the implementation of such strategies to ensure functional and overall, LALA business objectives are achieved.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES: - Partner with business leaders to understand their organizational design needs, talent acquisition requirements, and as needed, develop a multi-faceted recruitment strategy.
- Coach hiring managers through the talent acquisition process, resulting in the attraction and retention of key talent.
- Perform full-cycle recruitment including screening and interviewing candidates and coordinating background checks and drug screens. Partner with external agencies when needed.
- Manage and conduct new hire onboarding / orientation.
- Manage all Talent Acquisition contracts including applicant tracking system, external agencies, job board/networking, and background check and drug screen contracts.
- Act as lead for all employee engagement initiatives for the Dallas office and field-based employees including conducting and acting upon engagement surveys. Partner with HR at other LALA sites to ensure consistency in application of engagement programs.
- Partner with assigned business function leaders to establish key performance metrics and drive HR best practices across the business function.
- Provide HR guidance in regard to performance management, career development, workforce planning, and succession planning.
- Assist in the development of HR policies and provide guidance on their interpretation and application.
- Serve as primary point of contact for employee relations issues and investigative concerns. Partners with Legal as needed.
- Develop, implement, and manage employee and management training initiatives and programs as needed.
- Participate in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follow up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Act as employee advocate, making recommendations to leadership to resolve employee relations matters and individual grievances.
- Conduct exit interviews and process employee terminations.
- Lead HR projects/initiatives as needed.
WORK EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE: - 5-10 years of progressive HR experience.
- Highly proficient with UltiPro and HRM or comparable HRIS/ATS systems.
- Knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
- General HR technical knowledge in training, recruiting, employee relations, etc.

- Ability to interact and advise employees at all levels in a professional, calm, and confident manner.
- Demonstrated success leading organizational change and influencing and coaching at the executive level.
- Strong business acumen with a demonstrated ability to develop and align HR initiatives to accelerate achievement of strategic business objectives.
FORMAL EDUCATION: - Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
- Master's Degree is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS - Normal office environment with little exposure to noise.
- The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is necessary.
- Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending on the project or assignment.
