Position DescriptionSerco is seeking a Military Analyst to provide support to a General Staff Functional Unit, specializing in Current Operations (CUOPS) activities related to the management of the Organization. This position is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
This position requires an individual who can adapt to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a high degree of coordination with other staff members. Familiar with a variety of the operational / functional office concepts, practices, and procedures. Rely on experience and judgment to accomplish goals to deliver on a variety of tasks. Support the development of short-to-long range planning by developing guidance to align efforts with AFC and DEVCOM HQ Operations functions.
Analyze and coordinate operations functions and utilize the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) to include OPORDs, staff coordination, records management, tasker management, mission analysis, reporting, and physical security by performing the following duties.
Review, prepare, develop, and modify reports and policies. Analyze procedures and workflow of the DAC staff and recommend improvements in such areas as operational business processes, ie: tasker development, administration, and program management.
- Organization, accountability, flexibility, and ability to work independently are essential qualities for success
- Comprehend the hierarchal structure of the organization and identify POC's for functional units or processes
- Assist with access control, key control and badging duties
- Perform day-to-day management of overall contract support operations under this effort, involving multiple projects and groups of personnel at various locations
- Provide services for numerous operations and activities to include detailed planning related to multiple complex projects, issues, exercises and initiatives
- Responsible for business operations and internal management in support of the execution of mission operations
- Participate in operational planning and program development and ensure processes, policies, and training are consistent with organizational goals
- Support the development and preparation of reports and briefings to leadership

QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret security clearance.
- High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years' of relevant experience OR an Associates Degree with 2+ years' of relevant experience
- Military experience and/or experience with a military support organization
Additional desired skills and qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret clearance
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite with demonstrated experience
- Innovative, with the ability to resolve complex issues, strong organizational skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to effectively convey information across all organizational levels
