The Associate Application Manager is responsible for assisting with the maintenance of the software applications delivered by the Automotive Solutions Group. Associate Application Managers work closely with the Application Manager and Customer Technology Manager to provide ongoing support for applications ASG maintains. The role will also consist of partnering with Application Managers to aid in the design and implementation of new features or solutions while also working closely with a cross functional team.

Education/Experience Required
  • 3+ years business and/or data analyst experience
  • Required technical capabilities:
  • Highly proficient in advanced SQL queries
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Experience working within Web Application technology stacks.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and debugging techniques.
  • Highly proficient with ETL processes

Skills & Abilities
  • Experience with tech stack and tools: Oracle database (majority of the business logic is dynamic invoked by PL/SQL), Java backend (Struts/JSP and Spring running Tomcat), React front end using GitLab for version control and Atlassian suite for issue/project management
  • Expertise with SQL queries to aid in validation and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with procedural and object-oriented development languages, such as Java and PL/SQL
  • Experience contributing to software implementation within a Software Development Lifecycle
  • Comfortable both writing test plans and testing applications
  • Experience interpreting & communicating highly technical documentation for non-technical team members and internal users
  • Strong communication and mono-tasking skills
  • Ability to work well with a cross-functional team of varying technical skill sets.
  • Driven, self-motivated individual that takes pride in your work, ownership of your projects, and is accountable for the success of applications
  • Keen interest in learning new skills and technologies
  • Working knowledge of micro-service architecture concepts
  • AWS experience a plus

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to support brining requirements to life on the web
  • Provide direction for the software engineering team, in written specification form, to ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded in the deliverables
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts, resolve issues quickly, and remediate software as needed
  • Perform initial unit and system testing
  • Research and resolve program setup/configuration related questions
  • Assist team members with data validation to ensure the program reporting is accurate
