About the roleThe
Sr. Sales Manager, reporting to the VP of Client Development, will manage sales efforts for our agency, focusing on finding leads and converting them to long-term clients. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of sales strategies within the marketing and advertising space, demonstrating the ability to drive new business opportunities while fostering strong client relationships. This position is responsible for hitting revenue targets and delivering exceptional client experiences.
What you'll do- Drive new business by prospecting and building relationships with quality leads
- Lead the sales process from initial contact through contract negotiations
- Develop a deep understanding of our services to be able to effectively communicate our offerings to potential clients
- Work closely with the marketing and creative departments to develop tailored solutions that address client needs
- Meet or exceed annual sales targets and contribute to the company's growth
- Monitor sales metrics and performance, preparing detailed reports to present to senior leadership
- Collaborate with the client strategy team to ensure a seamless onboarding process for new clients
- Stay updated on industry trends and marketing strategies
- Work closely with the client development PM to manage the sales cycle in our CRM, Salesforce
- Contribute to the creation of RFPs, scopes, and new business proposals
- Actively lead or participate in new business pitches to appeal to stakeholders at all levels
- Attend industry conferences and networking events, as well as joining online communities to expand influence and brand recognition.
Qualifications- 6-10 years of sales experience in marketing & advertising
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- Demonstrated success in securing high-value clients and hitting or exceeding revenue goals
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex marketing strategies in a simple, compelling manner
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Professional, polite, and positive attitude no matter how a conversation goes
- Familiarity with CRM software (we use Salesforce) and sales tools
- Ability to successfully and strategically qualify leads
- Proactively identify challenges and implement innovative solutions
- Account management experience a plus
