This role will be located in our Los Angeles, CA office 5 days a week.

The Role

As the Operations Manager for our Consumer Products and Experiences team at Moonbug Entertainment, you will be pivotal in overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, and driving team success. You'll act as a key liaison for the team, working closely with members to coordinate projects, manage tasks, and maintain seamless communication. Your role will also include providing critical administrative support and ensuring that all team members have access to the tools and resources needed for success. The ideal candidate is highly organized, has great time management skills, and ability to work well under pressure. This role reports directly to the Managing Director, Consumer Products.

Responsibilities

The Consumer Products and Experiences team is responsible for signing partners to manufacture products based on our content and then help our partners manage to get them to retailers and ultimately into the consumer's hands. You will support key divisions within the CP&E team to bring our products to market:

  • Team Organization and Administrative Duties:
    • Liaise with cross-functional teams-brand, franchise, finance, legal-both domestically and internationally to streamline operations.
    • Support the Managing Director, Consumer Products with administrative duties, including travel arrangements, expense management, meeting coordination, and trade show logistics.
    • Manage team calendars and schedule calls/meetings for retail and CPE teams, internally and with external partners.
    • Coordinate the execution of licensing summits, team events, and trade shows, ensuring meeting schedules are managed efficiently for all team members.
  • Licensing Category:
    • Organize and maintain key internal and external documents, such as contact lists, contract summaries, licensee lists, sales decks, and newsletters for licensees and retailers.
    • Provide support to organize information and materials to licensees in order to maximize product development, retail sell-in and consumer marketing.
  • Retail and Retail Marketing:
    • Collect and summarize line lists, retail placement grids, and sales reports from licensees, providing detailed updates as needed.
    • Develop and oversee retail activation trackers, regularly updating the team on major retail campaigns.
  • Product Development:
    • Collaborate as-needed with the creative team and licensees to support key milestones for the product development process each season.
    • Manage the coordination of final production samples for archival and marketing activations.
  • Finance and Legal:
    • Assist in budget and forecast planning, ensuring accurate input of deal terms into our automated contract management system.
    • Keep track of and manage purchase orders and invoices.
    • Provide occasional support in the contract and amendment process.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other productivity tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant licensing experience in a similar role
  • Experience working with project management tools such as Asana, Monday or Trello.
  • Familiarity with content creation processes and workflows is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in a professional manner.
  • Positive attitude, with a willingness to take on new challenges and learn new skills.

Salary: $125,000-140,000
