The RoleTo support our rapid growth globally we are building a marketing team and strategy that has impactful, sector-based content and strong, clear design at its heart.
This role is central to that strategy. It is responsible for driving the creation of high impact written and design content for Veriforce, aimed at boosting the brand's presence and influence in a market that is developing fast but is currently conservative and ripe for disruption.
Managing a team of specialist writers and designers, you will be responsible for creating all marketing materials from presentations to brochures, web copy and social posts and beyond.
The successful candidate will have managed a team of journalists, copywriters or creatives in a publication, agency or similar environment where producing strong, powerful yet concise content is critical.
You will understand the importance of conveying complex and detailed information concisely and powerfully. Creatively you will ensure the designers deliver impact and outcomes through their design in all channels in which they are involved.
You will be resourceful, creative, knowledgeable and pragmatic. A strong story teller, either via the written word or impactful design and video, you will ideally have experience in one of our core sectors, as well as great understanding of marketing processes, the buyer journey and demand generation.
You will maintain a single-minded focus on driving great content that inspires the reader to engage and take action. Ideally you have some experience in a marketing- / sales-led environment where content is used ultimately to impact revenues.
Essential Duties- Develop, execute, and manage content strategies across multiple platforms (digital and traditional) with the objective of engaging the market, driving prospects through the funnel and supporting successful sales processes.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing and other stakeholders to create compelling copy that effectively communicates our value proposition.
- Understand the role of thought leadership, sector-specific content and demand-focused content and how to produce it.
- Manage the design function day to day to ensure delivery is of a consistently high standard and creates the high impact and awareness required by the company. Ensure design guidelines and approaches work globally
- The successful candidate will be expected to write content themselves; ideally for an industry sector in which they have in-depth understanding. Or if a design-led professional, will be able to bring content to life through bold, impactful design.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the compliance industry.
- Write copy for our website(s), email campaigns, editorials, advertising (particularly digital / shortform content) and other marketing materials as required; or if a designer, will produce video or design that conveys the Veriforce story to our target audiences.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align creative strategies with company goals.
- Be data driven, use sales and customer feedback along with performance data to continually improve our content strategy.
Knowledge and Experience- Minimum 5 years of experience in journalism, including time as a senior editor or editor managing a team of writers /;
- Or, minimum 5 years as a copywriter in a PR / Marketing Agency including in a management position with junior copywriters and / or creatives.
- Proven track record of leading or working closely with design teams, driving the direction of creative design to create visually appealing content.
- Experience in writing engaging copy for various platforms, including social media, websites, and email campaigns.
- Strong understanding of marketing concepts, strategy, and best practices across both digital and traditional platforms.
- Experience in producing in-depth content for at least one of the following industries is highly desirable:
- Oil & Gas, Utilities, Construction, Municipalities and Food & Beverage.
- Familiarity with the compliance industry or similar field a bonus but not essential
- Understanding of how use of generative AI can support content production.
