Job Summary: Roles and Responsibilities: - Design of electrical systems for facilities / laboratories for Government, University, and private clients.
- Provide conceptual / detailed design and analysis for facility power distribution (600V), emergency power generation, grounding and lightning protection, lighting design, telecommunications (voice/data), fire alarm / mass notification, security, access control, and special systems.
- Provide supporting documentation such as calculations, reports, and specifications.
- This individual is expected to possess extensive knowledge on electrical regulatory codes.
- Candidate will work with designers in order for them to produce final designs of the facility.
Qualifications:• Eight (8) years of experience in facility Electrical Engineering design
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required
• Familiar with REVIT/AutoCAD or other design software-based drawing generation
• Experience using electrical calculation tools is desired, including lighting and power software such as AGi32, Elum Tools, SKM Power Tools, ETAP, and EasyPower.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Excel & Word
• Experience with technical codes such as NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE is required
• Experience with USDA, ARS, CDC and other laboratory clients is highly desired
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
