    Job Details
  • ICU RN position at St Alexius Health Dickinson Medical Center
  • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: DKA, sepsis pts, respiratory failure, cardiac(rate and rhythm control), medical detox, art lines, CVP
  • Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 depending on acuity
  • RNs required to titrate drips: Yes
  • RN required to read and interpret telemetry strips
    Job Requirements
  • Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS & TNCC / TCAR / or experience with the care of trauma patients
  • FIT TESTING / FACIAL HAIR- clinicians with facial hair must pass a fit test
    Schedule Information
  • Shifts: 7-7
  • Director makes schedule
  • Requires working weekends and holidays where there is need
  • Floating Requirements: MS or ER (for 1:1)
  • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved.
    Unit Specific Information
  • # of Beds: 4
  • How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 3- 12 hour shifts
    Additional Details
  • Attributes that make a nurse successful in this unit include coachability, motivation, ability to understand and coach unsafe situations, and teamwork
  • Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit.
