Job Title: Operations Coordinator

Vacancies: One (1)

Location: Barrie, Ontario

Terms: Permanent Full-Time

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Reports To: International Imports Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Arranging transport of import and export FTL and LTL shipments within and between Canada and the USA
  • Negotiating rates with Carriers
  • Quoting Customers
  • Tracking shipments
  • Communicating shipment details with customers and agents
  • Submitting documents to Customs Brokers
  • Arranging local pickups and deliveries
  • Calculating revenue and costs on shipment files

  • Customer Service Oriented : Client focused and providing an exceptional experience for our customers
  • Responsive: Committed to a high level of responsiveness both inside our business and with our customers and vendors
  • Proactive : Takes initiative and an organized approach to day to day operations as well as future needs

Professional & Educational Background:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with Transborder Operations in the 3PL industry
  • Knowledge of Forward Air type systems
  • Intermodal handling considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of Loadlink
  • Experience with Tradeshow and white glove freight

Skills & Ability:

  • Communication : Has good listening skills and communicates effectively in both written and verbal formats including proficiency in spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Organization : Must be highly organized and detail-oriented when dealing with our fast- paced environment
  • Multi-tasking : Must have strong multi-tasking abilities, be proactive and adaptable based on the needs of the company and our clients
