LHH Recruitment Solutions (formerly Ajilon) is currently seeking an EHS Manager near Speedway, IN area. The company is a manufacturing services provider looking for a safety specialist with 6+ years of experience who possesses both safety regulation knowledge and the ability to oversee all health & safety functions for the center. The salary range for this position is $80-90k plus a comprehensive benefits package.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
- Conducts monthly and annual health, safety and environmental audits/inspections of the facility and property verifying the implementation of H&S Systems.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to revise and maintain EHS documents in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and Company standards, ensuring the continual improvement of the established EHS system.
- Conducts, tracks and coordinates safety orientations, trainings, and meetings based on external and internal OSHA requirements.
- Holds associates accountable and responsible for health, safety and environmental conditions and practices
- Developing, reviewing and implementing procedures based on regulatory and/or client requirements and updating in corresponding company EHS manuals.
- Present EHS information and respond to questions or concerns from employees, managers, and clients.
- Communicates and functions as a liaison for the company with governmental inspectors, agencies, and regulators in the event of inspection to correct deficiencies and to minimize citations and fines for non-compliance.
- Conducts incident investigations. Develops and assigns corrective and preventive action.
- Manages the location’s Emergency Preparedness and Response activities
- Environmental regulatory responsibilities include, but not limited to: water permitting, Tier II reporting, storm water permits, MACT / EPA notifications, FESOP and TRI reporting.
- Maintain an Environmental Management System.
- Create and maintain environmental waste profiles.
- Coordinate environmental permit administration as required for new processes and equipment. Provide innovative solutions to continually reduce air, water, and waste to align with sustainability goals and objectives.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- EHS for manufacturing (ISO 9001/ISO 13485 facilities) strongly experience preferred
- OSHA30 and First responder preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent formal training in the areas of occupational environmental, health, and safety required
- Minimum 5+ years experience leading EHS compliance & regulatory policy programs in a distribution center, manufacturing or industrial business.
- Vast understanding and experience working with OSHA, regulatory compliance, risk assessment an mitigation programs.
