Job Title: Maitre D

Job Summary:

The Maitre D’ will be responsible for managing hospitality at the door for Time and Tide guests. They will be a point of contact for the host team during service. They will also be responsible for organizing and maximizing the potential for the Time and Tide reservations books in Resy.

During service they will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks:

  • Reviewing the book at Time and Tide pre-meal meetings.
  • Confirming the accuracy of the Info Sheet and Visit Notes for the following day’s service. 
  • Googling guests (if not already done) and notating VIPs in Resy profiles.
  • Greeting guests and directing proper locations of Time and Tide during open hours.
  • Verifying deposits for pop-up reservations throughout the service.
  • Confirming opening and closing host side work duties are completed thoroughly.
  • Noting special guest requests and events 
  • Cultivate relationships with regulars
  • Maintaining VIP/Critic Facebook and Daily FOF Sheet
  • Close the Time and Tide Front Desk 3-4 shifts per week
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Must have 2 years + experience in a fast paced NYC restaurant as a Lead Host or Maitre'D
• Experience working with Resy is preferred
• Must be able to lift & carry at least 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be comfortable with repetitive motions (such as walking, bending & standing)
• Must be knowledgeable of Industry critics & awards
• Must have full schedule availability
• Must be able to take constructive criticism and work well in a team dynamic

SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Be warm, knowledgeable and noticeably appreciative
• Accommodate guests by making each individual feel welcome
• Act professionally and always maintain composure 
• Identify and report problems to management immediately 
• Be aware of service flow, dining timing, and adjust for each guest’s individual needs 
• Implement and follow steps of service

Must have open availabiltiy for Training days leading open to Time and Tide Grand Opening. Specific Details,  Dates, and Times will be shared upon receiving Job Offer.
