The successful candidate:
***PRN Role to cover PTO, Sick time and Call as needed.***
This individual must be able to operate all sonography/ultrasound equipment competently and perform a variety of routine diagnostic and interventional sonography/ultrasound examinations in a safe and proficient manner under the supervision of the Radiologist or Cardiologist. They must abide by and enforce all compliance requirements and policies and perform these responsibilities in an ethical manner consistent with the organization's values. This position requires initiative, the ability to make independent judgments and a positive attitude. The candidate must be able to produce high quality images and accurately identify normal and abnormal anatomy/pathology. Must be able to handle multiple room assignments and all different types of exams on a daily basis. Must be able to communicate with physicians, patients, families, and ancillary hospital personnel. Will participate in performance improvement initiatives. Will assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the day-to-day operation of the department (i.e. clerical duties, inventory, stocking, light housekeeping duties, etc.). May participate in the training and orientation of other employees. Position may require cross training in additional modalities
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Graduate or equivalent
Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA approved school
Licensure: Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
Training: Basic Life Support (CPR)
