About the Team
As the window of TikTok's business services, our TikTok UED Monetization team aims to enable clients to effortlessly connect with audiences and maximize brand potential. We want to ease and inspire clients to achieve their goals, explore more possibilities, and create value with TikTok. The TikTok Global Monetization Design Team at TikTok plays a crucial role in supporting the expansion of global advertisers by creating advertising management tools that not only meet but exceed our advertisers' expectations. This team ensures an effective and efficient advertising experience on our platform, building trust and fostering a robust advertising environment.
About the role:
As the Design Manager, you will lead one of our key advertising design teams. You will guide a talented team of designers in creating exceptional user experiences and innovative product solutions for our advertising clients. This role requires a visionary leader who is passionate about making an impact through design and capable of managing the complexities of a fast-paced, globally scaled environment.
As the design leader of the team, you will
- Manage the development of key ad products , focusing on creating a strong user experience and innovative solutions for TikTok advertisers.
- Cultivate a workplace culture aligned with TikTok's core values of creativity and joy, managing a team of talented designers.
- Serve as a strategic leader, adept at rallying teams to tackle complex challenges and deliver high-quality work.
- Drive advertiser satisfaction by maintaining a focus on delivering exceptional user experiences through strategic use of user research and data insights.
- Take responsibility for the operational structure and culture of the Product Design team, making significant contributions to its growth and development.
- Mentor designers, providing guidance and constructive feedback to enhance project outcomes and career growth.
- Manage key design projects across multiple time zones, allocate resources effectively, and build consensus among stakeholders.
- Recruit and develop a high-caliber team capable of elevating the Design Team to new heights of excellence.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between design and business strategies, fostering strong organizational relationships.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Experienced in designing and shipping end-to-end products involving deep technical domains, complex flows, multiple scenarios, and edge cases.
• Proven ability to empathize with and develop solutions for professional users, including Sales, Data Scientists, Client Success Engineers, and more.
• Ability to provide design variations and rational your design choices
• Ability to organize and communicate your thoughts and motivations with different audience
• A keen eye for visual UI details
Preferred Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years of experience in product design settings.
• Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and vision
• Self-motivated and able to efficiently run with a project without close supervision
• Willing to adapt and contribute to design system; Working closely with your engineers to build components that seamlessly fit into a larger component library/style guide
• Love to discuss design in group settings; participate in design critiques and reviews
• Experienced or interested in data visualization
