The Personal Injury Case Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing personal injury claims from initial intake through resolution. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a deep understanding of personal injury law. The Case Manager serves as a key liaison between clients, attorneys, medical providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders, ensuring that cases proceed smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities :
Case Management :
- Review, assess, and process personal injury claims, including auto accidents, slip and fall, and workplace injuries.
- Maintain and organize client files, ensuring all documentation, medical records, and legal paperwork are properly filed and up to date.
- Monitor case progression and timelines, ensuring that deadlines for filings, medical treatment, and other legal procedures are met.
- Work closely with attorneys to prepare for hearings, trials, and negotiations.
Client Communication :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, keeping them informed of the status of their case and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Provide updates to clients about the progress of medical treatments, insurance claims, and legal proceedings.
- Provide guidance and support to clients through emotional and legal challenges during their case.
Medical and Insurance Coordination :
- Collaborate with medical providers to gather necessary records and medical evidence to support the claim.
- Work with insurance companies to facilitate the claims process and resolve any disputes regarding liability or coverage.
- Track and manage medical bills and expenses to ensure proper documentation and payment.
Settlement and Negotiation :
- Assist attorneys in negotiating settlements with insurance companies or opposing parties.
- Review and summarize settlement offers for attorneys and clients.
- Help prepare documents for mediation, arbitration, or settlement conferences.
Documentation and Reporting :
- Maintain accurate case notes, updates, and documentation regarding client interactions, case status, and relevant actions taken.
- Prepare and submit reports on case progression, including necessary updates to attorneys and supervisors.
- Ensure all legal and regulatory compliance regarding personal injury cases.
Administrative Support :
- Manage appointment scheduling for clients, legal team, and medical professionals.
- Assist with preparation of legal documents, including correspondence, subpoenas, and discovery responses.
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning of legal documents.
Compensation: $70,000-$80,000
