Position Title: Supply Chain Specialist

Summary
The role of the Supply Chain Specialist is to plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle. This involves determining requirements for production based on customer orders, sales forecasts, and requirements planning. In addition, this position gathers data and conducts analysis with the goal of improving the organization’s supply chain.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
Procurement – 50%
- Enter and release orders with suppliers.
- Manages delivery of products and services.
- Works closely with engineering on new product commercialization projects.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvements.
- Execute the procurement of material, services, and production supplies including price, availability, delivery schedule (expediting), and final delivery of goods.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Scheduling – 25%
o Schedule sales orders based on customer requests in accordance with capacity and material availability.
o Create production orders to meet customer requirements.
o Work with customer service and other departments to manage sales order changes.
o Coordinate expedites between departments to ensure on-time shipments to customers.
Supply Chain/Inventory – 25%
- Coordinate stock transfers for project orders executed at the regional service centers.
o Monitor inventory adjustments/transactions and implement corrective actions to improve processes.
o Assist in the maintenance of system data and perform data cleansing.

Minimum Education/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field of study.
Minimum Experience
- 1+ years related supply chain experience (purchasing, scheduling, or inventory control
- Computer skills to include proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems. SAP experience preferred.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- The position is sedentary in nature with occasional standing, walking and bending throughout the day.
