Serves as a preceptor, mentor, and resource to staff as well as assists management with supervisory responsibilities.nnPosition Key Accountabilities:nnPrepares patients for CT exam, explains procedure and ensures technical quality.nPerforms diagnostic radiologic examinations in complex modalities aboard an ambulance.nEnsures safe care to patients by adhering to policies, procedures, and standards; stays within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity and accuracy of practice.nResponsible for overall care, maintenance, and quality assurance of Mobile Stroke Program diagnostic equipment. Performs, and ensures, daily quality control checks of the mobile CT scanner.nReports any accidents, complaints or equipment malfunctions to the manager.nOversees daily work for technologists and diagnostic equipment for program.nParticipates in performance improvement measures.nOther duties as assigned.nnCertification/Skills:nnCurrent registration as a CT Technologist by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist and current licensure by the Texas Department of Health. Ability to multitask in a high acuity, face-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.nnMinimum Education:nnGraduate of an approved School of Radiological Technology.nnMinimum Experience:nnThree (3) years of experience as a certified CT Technologist.nnPhysical Requirements:nnExerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.nnSecurity Sensitive:nnThis job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code 51.215nnResidency Requirement:nnEmployees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.nnEqual Opportunity Employer - minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
