Cafe Mado, is the new neighborhood restaurant from Redwood Hospitality, the team behind Oxalis, Place des Fetes and Laurel Bakery.
We are looking for a passionate, organized, and focused Chef de Partie to join our opening team.
We’re looking for someone with experience in this role, with an understanding of general knife skills, cooking over charcoal and classical cooking techniques. A successful candidate will have experience in an organized, fast-paced, and high-performing kitchen, and will excel in the ability to follow instructions and communicate efficiently. If you have a desire to work in a prideful environment, and have curiosity and desire to learn and grow with us, we would love to meet you.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute mise en place fully for your own station
- Running your station through service, executing ingredients and components to high standards in an organized manner
- Communicate efficiently and effectively
- Be able to follow and uphold cleanliness of the kitchen in line with NYC DOH standards as well as our own exceptional standards
