The Accounting Clerk secures revenue by verifying and posting receipts, resolving discrepancies and performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks.

Primary Responsibilities

n - Retrieve online bank reports and remittance advice daily.n
- Process customer payments timely by recording lockbox deposits and electronic payments.n
- Process and post customer credit card paymentsn
- Verify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from credit, billing, sales, customer service departments, and customers.n
- Maintain department reports, including account analysis and reconciliation.n
- Process payments received via mail by way of desk top deposits.n
- Process over the phone customer payments and on-line via bank software and apply to customer account.n
- Process EFT paymentsn
- Create and post adjusting entries for returned items.n
- Answer inquiries from internal and external customers via phone and e-mail.n
- Perform additional AR, customer service and finance functions as directed by supervisor.n
- Complete general ledger accounting duties including financial statement analysis, general journal entry preparation, analyzing and maintaining account reconciliations, compliance tax work assistance, and assistance with annual financial audit.n

n - College degree in Business related fieldn
- Accuracy and attention to detail.n
- Must be able to respect confidentiality and use discretion when necessary regarding private and/or personal data.n
- Exceptional organization and time management skills.n

- Proficient in data entry.n
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and document conversion.n
