Refers more complex issues to more experienced colleagues.nnInterpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams, and repairs equipment, utilizing knowledge of electronics and using standard test instruments and hand tools.nnProvide basic installation assistance as directed by project lead.nnAct as “our customer’s best service provider” at all times thereby ensuring Convergint Technologies is the customer’s first choice for service.nnTake ownership of onsite project including safety, quality and performance. Observe and practice Convergint Quality Standards.nnMake suggestions for installation methods to improve profitability and quality.nnLearn and perform tasks of an Electrical Installer III in order to progress through the trade program.nnProvide feedback to the Job-Lead regarding problems and anticipate time associated with an assigned task. Act as primary liaison to Project Lead.nnWhat You’ll NeednnExperience installing and wiring access control, network cameras, door hardware, panel installation & wiring, and programming of door and camera additions.nnSolid Construction Skills and understanding of system plans.nnSolid understanding of blueprints, design drawings including wiring and labeling methods, system wiring, wiring methods, cut sheets, wiring schematics, and cable support installation (J-Hook, Raceway, Conduit, Cable Support).nnVery familiar with basic blueprints, schematics, manuals, and other specifications to determine installation procedures unassisted, may require assistance with more complex specifications.nnStrong customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.nnSolid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g. works with a variety of hand and power tools such as drill, screwdriver, wire stripper, hacksaw, crimper) and ability to read blueprints and drawings; solid math skills (for some positions, this may include calculating area, velocity, resistance, voltage, etc.).nnSolid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.nnThe Electrical Installer will be responsible for providing basic hand tools as required to perform the daily tasks of the position.nnA valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.nnCompany Benefits and PerksnnConvergint fosters a supportive, accessible, and inclusive environment in which individuals of different backgrounds and identities are able to realize their maximum potential within the company.
