The candidate will perform roles such as adding equipment to the calibration lab database, outsourcing calibrations to subcontractors, communicating with subcontractors and customers, creating purchase orders (PO’s), and securing payment for calibrations. The candidate will be required to have the ability to use personal computer hardware and software. Candidate will also be required to maintain ISO compliance in all aspects of the role such as adding calibration certificates to the database and the use of calibration stickers. Some degree of judgment may also be required in resolving non-standard problems.
Work focus is generally performed within the boundaries of established processes or systems under general supervision. The candidate will be required to perform other duties as assigned or as responsibilities necessitate.
Description of Duties:
• Make scheduling database entries, identifying work performed, equipment used and brief repair notes for equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, generators, torque, micrometers, and gauges.
The ideal candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:
• Must have a proven ability to work as part of a team and be able to effectively communicate with peers, supervisors, and customers which may include communicating to customers when equipment dates are slipping.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Candidate must have an A.A. degree in business, electrical, metrology or related field or previous military experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Metrology and or metrology equipment.
• Experience working in a lab environment for measurement and test equipment.
• Ability to communicate findings written or verbal through reports to engineers, and other customers.
• Ability to work in a collaborative manner with a variety of different individuals in a fast paced, technical environment.
• Ability to work effectively in an ambiguous environment where changing priorities are the norm.
• Ability to navigate a database with these types of equipment: physical dimensional, pressure and vacuum, power supplies, low frequency AC/DC low/high resistance, RF power sensors and oscopes, wind tunnel/air speed and mass flow controllers (MFC), temperature and humidity probes and IR temp, as well as all types of torque.
• Proficient on the computer in the use of standard software utilities such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
