Job Description Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Job Summary Assist in patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, following state practice laws and prescribed treatment programs.
Key Responsibilities - Follow state regulations governing PTA practice and adhere to clinical policies.
- Assist in executing treatment plans directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Maintain clear documentation of patient care, using medical terminology accurately.
- Ensure treatment areas and equipment meet OSHA standards.
- Communicate patient progress effectively with the care team.
- Complete Medicare and OSHA compliance training annually.
- Participate in staff meetings and continuing education to meet licensure requirements.
- Maintain current CPR certification.
