Our Vision is to provide patient-centered care and evidence-based service with dignity, compassion, and kindness, to promote optimal recovery.nnThis position provides practical nursing care to patients within the scope of practice and as applicable to assigned area(s).nnQualifications:nnCurrent Montana Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.nnCurrent BLS certification required as applicable to assigned area(s).nnPrevious experience in a similar position preferred.nnExcellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.nnCommitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.nnExcellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.nnExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.nnPossess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.nnJob Specific Duties:nnProvides skilled nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process as appropriate for LPNs in the assigned area(s).nnExhibits a commitment to professionalism, civility, teamwork, and customer service while undertaking all tasks and interactions with others.nnExhibits knowledge of policies and procedures as they relate to the specific job duties, patient care and safety and as applicable to assigned area(s).nnExhibits knowledge of staffing standards and a demonstrated commitment to cost containment with all resources.nnOperates and maintains equipment to departmental standards as applicable to assigned area(s).nnMaintains nursing standards of care and executes appropriate provider orders. While executing patient care, exhibits knowledge of and maintains the patient’s right to diversity, privacy, and confidentiality.nnAs applicable to assigned area(s): Performs a standardized focused assessment or reassessment of patient at regular intervals appropriate for the condition of the patient under the direction of the RN and as ordered by the provider.nnAdministers medications, treatment, and provider-specific care to patients in compliance with nursing policies/procedures, LPN scope of practice, and as applicable to assigned area(s).nnCommunicates all appropriate and critical changes in the patient’s condition, status, and findings to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner and as defined by policies and procedures and/or provider orders as applicable to assigned area(s).nnDocuments all clinical findings and required regulatory mandates in the medical chart in compliance with policies and procedures or as defined by regulatory requirements as applicable to assigned area(s).nnContributes to maintaining an updated, individualized plan of care that includes; goals, interventions, medications and visit frequency orders as applicable to assigned area(s).nnMaintains a thorough knowledge of infection control procedures and strictly adheres to policies and procedures.nnThe above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job classification.
