Major Food Group is hiring a Maitre D' to join our team at The Lobster Club!
This fine-dining concept is seeking exceptional and highly qualified candidates for MAITRE D' with extensive knowledge of food, beverage and service to create an extraordinary experience for our guests. As one of the first points of contact with guests, the ideal candidates must exhibit enthusiasm, desire and all round passion for hospitality excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee dining room operation in a restaurant
- Customer relations and ensuring guests receive impeccable service at all times
- Greet customers and guide them to their tables
- Answer customer questions regarding food, drinks, and specials
- Resolve customer complaints or disputes
- Manage waitstaff to ensure efficient and excellent service throughout a given seating
Requirements:
- 3-4 years of restaurant experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants.
- At least 2 years experience leading a front door team in a New York restaurant
- Previous experience in Michelin-starred (1, 2, or 3) and/or NY Times (2 or more stars) is preferred but not required.

Compensation: Hourly based on experience ($28 - $30)
