Crown Jewel is excited to announce that it is seeking a new Executive Chef to lead its dynamic kitchen team. Qualified candidates will possess a strong culinary background an innate drive to succeed, and excellent multitasking, interpersonal and communication skills. Their culinary creativity and passion for both food and the guest experience will set them apart from their peers. In addition to advanced culinary skills, candidates must have experience in cost controls and take full ownership and responsibility for all culinary operations. This position reports directly to the owner. Term is May 1st - September 30th. Most interested in long term candidates.

Description:
This is a working chef position.
The Crown Jewel Executive Chef directly manages all back of house functionality, directing the preparation of food and helping the kitchen team with food prep and station set up. This position must be able to prepare food quickly to set specifications and standards while maintaining hygienic practices.The Executive Chef also arranges, prepares and break downs the stations of the kitchen,storage areas and refrigerators, and makes sure all are maintained at the beginning and end of every day and night. Physical requirements include but are not limited to: the ability to move at least 50 pounds, the ability to work and move around the floor for extended periods of time, the ability to maintain repetitive hand/arm motions, the ability to grip/handle knives and tools, and the ability to focus on job duties and responsibilities in a loud, open kitchen space.
The Executive Chef should be capable of managing the BOH team and all culinary operations independently.
