Position: Maintenance Supervisor
Schedule: Full-Time

The Maintenance Supervisor’s primary responsibilities are to lead our people with the goal of exceeding requirements in employee safety, food safety & quality, regulatory compliance, customer service and employee engagement. More specifically, you will provide the front-line leadership function for our crew of tradespeople and technicians who keep our facility running safely and efficiently. Summ! Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Supervise and lead up to 10 direct reports ensuring that safe work procedures and food-safety regulations are adhered to always
- Provide feedback and support to staff, including weekly meetings focused on safety and performance.
- Co-ordinate with all staff to identify and issue appropriate job assignments with required resources
- Develop strong working relationships with all staff and with all departments within the facility.
- Ensure people have appropriate training for the work assigned
- Collaborate with Setup/ Production and Warehouse departments daily
- Coach and develop team-members troubleshooting skills
Technical knowledge:
Electrical Systems:
- Familiarity with electrical motors, starters, and drives.
- Knowledge of electrical safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Understanding of electrical testing and troubleshooting techniques.
Mechanical Systems:
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, and gearboxes.
- Understanding of mechanical safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Familiarity with mechanical testing and troubleshooting techniques.
- Knowledge of mechanical maintenance procedures, including lubrication and alignment.
HVAC and Refrigeration Systems:
- Understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers
- Computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures, including lubrication, alignment, and filter replacement.
- Planning and scheduling preventive maintenance tasks though Hippo (CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software)) and issue job assignments.
- Coordinate with MRO Purchaser to ensure that proper Spare Parts Inventory levels are always maintained.
- Verify that all completed work complies with the respective tasks list and to an elevated level of quality.
- Evaluate quality, duration, and cost of equipment repair
- Track and evaluate maintenance performance and accordingly create maintenance job plan for weekend.
- Analyze and eliminate repetitive Maintenance problems with cross functional team support.
Summ! Requirements:
- Minimum 3 yrs. food processing or manufacturing environment maintenance supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology,
- or Red Seal Millwright or Electrician is an asset.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills.
- Certification in maintenance management system is an asset.
This full-time opportunity is on-site at our 23011 Fraserwood Way location and offers a competitive salary range (based on experience) between $85,000 - $100,000 in addition to an attractive benefits package including Company paid Extended Health & Dental, RRSP Matching, Health Spending Account and more.
