Direct Counsel, LLC has partnered with a leading global law firm who is seeking a Litigation Associate to join their dynamic litigation team in San Francisco. The firm has a broad, cutting-edge, and cross-functional litigation practice and welcomes candidates with experiences across the litigation spectrum, including class actions, appellate, environmental, securities, antitrust, intellectual property, labor & employment, and more. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with a variety of complex litigation matters within a collaborative and dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in a variety of litigation matters, including corporate and commercial disputes.
• Conduct legal research and drafting of pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Prepare for and attend court proceedings, hearings, and depositions.
• Collaborate with partners and associates to develop case strategies and client communications.
• Stay abreast of legal developments in relevant practice areas.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• 3+ years in litigation, ideally within a recognized law firm, with a focus on corporate and commercial litigation.
• Strong interest in and/or experience across different areas of litigation (e.g., class actions, securities, antitrust, etc.).
• Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; client-focused approach.
• Ideal candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in and/or prior exposure to corporate and commercial litigation.

The firm represents a diverse range of clients, including corporations across various industries. Their litigation practice is known for addressing complex legal challenges and providing innovative solutions to clients in sectors such as technology, finance, energy, and more.

Compensation:

The annual compensation range for this position is between $310,000 and $435,000, contingent upon qualifications and operational considerations. A discretionary, performance-based bonus can be expected.
