Direct Counsel, LLC has partnered with a leading global law firm who is seeking a Litigation Associate to join their dynamic litigation team in San Francisco. The firm has a broad, cutting-edge, and cross-functional litigation practice and welcomes candidates with experiences across the litigation spectrum, including class actions, appellate, environmental, securities, antitrust, intellectual property, labor & employment, and more. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with a variety of complex litigation matters within a collaborative and dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in a variety of litigation matters, including corporate and commercial disputes.
- Conduct legal research and drafting of pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
- Prepare for and attend court proceedings, hearings, and depositions.
- Collaborate with partners and associates to develop case strategies and client communications.
- Stay abreast of legal developments in relevant practice areas.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and in good standing with the State Bar of California.
- 3+ years in litigation, ideally within a recognized law firm, with a focus on corporate and commercial litigation.
- Strong interest in and/or experience across different areas of litigation (e.g., class actions, securities, antitrust, etc.).
- Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; client-focused approach.
- Ideal candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in and/or prior exposure to corporate and commercial litigation.

Compensation:
The annual compensation range for this position is between $310,000 and $435,000, contingent upon qualifications and operational considerations. A discretionary, performance-based bonus can be expected.
