Role: Technical Writer

Location: Irving, TX

Duration : 12+ Months

Shift Timings: 8 AM to 5 PM

Required Experience:

• The position is for a Technical Writer to write and edit customer-facing instrument manuals. The job involves working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) under tight deadlines.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
• Ability to think critically
• Ability to work well under pressure with tight timelines
• Ability to learn quickly
• Knowledge of content management systems and XML (preferred but not required)
• Experience with medical device industry is preferred, but not required. Candidates with backgrounds in regulated industries like aerospace are also welcome

Responsibilities:

• Writing and editing customer manuals (primarily for instruments, occasionally customer letters).
• Collaborating with SMEs, often under tight deadlines.
• Participating in meetings with SMEs to develop labeling.
• The role may require early start times (around 7-8 AM) for coordination with teams in Germany.
• Working as part of a team, collaborating with other writers and graphic designers.

Education and Experience:

• 2-4 years of experience in technical writing.
• A degree is preferred but not required if the candidate has equivalent writing experience.
• Project management and organizational skills are helpful for managing deadlines and project specifications

Interview Process:

• The preferred interview format is in-person, with a potential alternative of Webex if in-person is not feasible.
• The interview typically consists of one round, with the hiring manager and project lead conducting the interview.
