Job Responsibilities :

• Perform plant tissue and cell culture techniques, including sterilization, media preparation, and micropropagation.
• Maintain and manage aseptic cultures, ensuring optimal growth conditions for various plant species.
• Conduct experiments to optimize tissue culture protocols for propagation, regeneration, and transformation.
• Monitor and document growth parameters, including response to media, light, and environmental factors.
• Assist in genetic modification projects by preparing explants and performing transformation protocols.
• Collaborate with the R&D team to analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and refine protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate laboratory records, ensuring data integrity and reproducibility.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
• Adhere to safety and quality control protocols within the laboratory environment.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree (required) or Master’s degree (preferred) in Plant Biology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, or related field.
• Hands-on experience in plant tissue culture techniques, including explant preparation, callus induction, and regeneration.
• Familiarity with sterile techniques and laboratory best practices.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Proficiency in data analysis and scientific report writing.
• Knowledge of genetic transformation techniques (preferred but not required).
• Familiarity with molecular biology techniques, such as PCR and DNA extraction.
