Our client is currently seeking a Production Operations Manager for their Food Manufacturing facility near Elmyra NY. This is a smaller facility that has benefited from significant capital investment. They have increased the production capacity of this plant and need a strong leader who can work with the Plant Manager. This position will have emphasis on all areas of operations including planning / scheduling, safety, continuous improvement, meeting KPI's & quality compliance.

Job Responsibilities:
- · Schedule production runs to ensure orders are shipped promptly.
- · Coordinate with department managers to ensure quality, on-time production and delivery.
- · Coordinate with the corporate procurement team to order ingredients and product packaging. Assist with any discrepancies.
- · Coordinate the daily activities of the production and operation teams.
- · Assist the Plant Manager in facility projects and day-to-day operations.
- · Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with cGMP standards.
- · Evaluate equipment and facility upgrades to support continuous improvement.
- · Assist in hiring and training production team members.
- · Ensure that all Safety procedures and policies are being followed.
- · Ensure that all Food Safety and Quality cGMP’s and policies are being followed.
- · Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- · Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
- · 5 plus years’ experience of leadership role within supply chain planning or supervision of manufacturing facility
- · Strong written and verbal communication skills and abilities
- · Working knowledge of production equipment
- · Proactive problem solving skills
