LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join the team of a respected and established law firm in Seattle, Washington. The ideal candidate will have experience with Washington state and federal litigation and demonstrate strong organizational skills. This role is perfect for a proactive professional who excels at juggling multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support, including managing calendars, emails, and client interactions
- Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports
- Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and event logistics
- Manage client billing, time entry, and monthly invoice preparation
- Organize and maintain physical and electronic files, ensuring compliance with document management protocols
- Conduct research using internal and external resources to support attorney needs
- Assist with new client intake, conflict checks, and matter management
- Serve as a resource for business development initiatives and special projects
- Provide backup assistance to other administrative team members when required
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience as a legal assistant or in a similar administrative role within a law firm.
- Familiarity with Washington state and federal court rules and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and legal software such as iManage, Adobe Acrobat, and billing platforms
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and team members
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional business or legal training preferred
