A leading national defense litigation firm is seeking an experienced Associate to join their growing team. This Attorney can work out of any of the firms five California offices or 100% remote from California should they prefer. Candidate should have litigation defense experience. Products liability, premises liability, professional liability, personal injury, OR employment law experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other legal documents
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and offices, contributing to a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end.
- Communicate with clients and provide status reports
Qualifications:
- JD from an ABA accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in the state of California.
- 1+ year of defense litigation experience
- Experience in insurance defense, general liability, employment, or medical malpractice preferred.
- Experience drafting discovery and pretrial motions a must.
- Superior analytical skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Sophisticated technical skills necessary
- Experience handling court appearances, depositions, and trial experience a plus
Desired Skills and Experience
1+ year of litigation defense experience. Liability experience preferred.
Licensed to practice law in CA.
