We are hiring for a Marketing Manager who will bring non-profit marketing and communications experience to this position and your expertise will be relied upon. Working closely with the President & CEO, Office Director, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for all aspects of Marketing, Communications, Social Media, Public Relations, and Volunteer Management including the following tasks:
Responsibilities
- Creation / Implementation of overall Marketing, Communications, and Public Relations Strategic Plan for organization
- Writing
- Newsletter for organization and all the programs within
- Creation and execution of eBlasts including ? monthly eBlasts that focus on events, organization in the Community, and any other possible information that can increase organization visibility in the community
- Create social media graphics & videos, and write cultivating captions for various social media channels
- Other marketing editorial pieces as needed
- Press / Media / Marketing
- Create overall marketing calendar
- Manage all aspects of internal and external marketing, communications, and public relations
- Pitch organization stories to media, TV, radio, digital and editorial
- Create organization collateral pieces for individual programs
- Submit media alerts & press releases on behalf of organization at the direction of the President & CEO
- Coordinate with media at events
- Social Media / Website
- Create and manage social media strategy on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter; using tags and hashtags as necessary; increase organization followers; tweet live from events when appropriate
- Maintain organization website, including uploading photos after events, updating press room with latest newsletters, and writing blog posts
- Manage/highlight partners for website and email
- Engage with followers across social media channels & maintain CRMs (Customer Relation Management)
- Showcase sponsors, donors, volunteers, important organization news across social media channels
- Solicit media ambassadors where possible
Qualifications
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in progressive marketing.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills required.
- Demonstrated proficiency and skill with Microsoft Office applications as well as various graphics software and WordPress.
- Solid understanding of social media
- Proven ability to develop and execute compelling marketing plans, as well as demonstrated presentation and communication skills in formal and informal settings.
- Be self-motivated, innovative, and collaborative, and excel as a multi-tasking, creative, analytical, and quick thinker.
- The desire and ability to represent organization in a professional manner.
