Job Title: Electrical Designer (Power Distribution and Systems Design)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to lead the design and layout of electrical systems for commercial and residential construction projects. The ideal candidate will manage the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical designs, including power distribution, lighting, receptacles, and fire alarm systems, while ensuring compliance with customer requirements and building codes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Layout of Electrical Systems : Develop efficient electrical designs for power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems for commercial and residential buildings.
• Project Coordination : Collaborate with clients, architects, project managers, and other engineering teams to coordinate the electrical system scope, design, and layout.
• Drawing Production : Assist in the creation and review of detailed electrical drawings that comply with customer requirements and local building codes.
• Site Visits and Client Meetings : Conduct occasional travel for client meetings and job site visits to ensure accurate implementation of designs.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Designer in the construction industry.
• Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is a plus but not required.
• Technical Knowledge : Strong understanding of electrical system design, operation, and construction practices, with expertise in power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.

Software Proficiency :

o AutoCAD for detailed electrical schematics.

o Revit for 3D modeling and design coordination (required).

o Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and communication.

• Preferred Experience : Experience with multi-family residential projects is preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
