AllSTEM Connections is looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer/Senior Design Engineer with one of our prestigious client based out at Houston, TX . Our client offers an environmentally safe, chemical-free fire protection system for Aviation Industry.

• Someone who has worked within a design team, enjoy the most recent software packages, managed deadlines / equipment design / project design

Responsibilities

• Design and standardize parts and assemblies in Autodesk Inventor 3D modeling software
• Produce shop drawings and Bill of Materials for production and procurement
• Prototype and test designed parts before standardizing the parts and assemblies for manufacturing
• Take on or be part of any other technical/engineering project needed to progress our goals
• Building assemblies, equipment design, tool design, heavy design is a huge plus, enjoys testing products
• Manage multiple complex projects at the same time
• Ensure our designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer requirements
• Ensure that all design projects are completed within budget and time

Qualifications/Skills

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical degree
• High proficiency in 3D modeling Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Flexibility to be prepared to travel at least 1-2 weeks each quarter as we typically install our system at our client's sites all over the US.
