The Controls Engineer will design, develop, debug, and support PLC-operated equipment in an automated factory setting. The engineer will work in a lean team environment to meet customer needs. This role is on-site on a daily-basis, though travel elsewhere would be minimal.
- Electrical control system design for packaging equipment in industrial/commercial environments meeting required standards and codes. Generate schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, IO Lists, and supporting documentation.
- Electrical/panel layout and drafting (AutoCAD or SolidWorks Electrical), overseeing panel manufacturing and system wiring/plumbing.
- PLC Programming (experience Beckhoff/TwinCAT 3 ideal, but we will consider strong experience with Rockwell, Allen-Bradley, and/or Siemens S7 PLCs)
- Troubleshooting efficiency and building strong relationships with clients and peers
Qualifications:
- BSEE or similar
- PLC programming/expertise: Beckhoff/TwinCAT 3/CoDeSyS (BONUS/PREFERRED), Allen-Bradley, and/or Siemens S7
- AutoCAD Electrical Design (UL508a panel design or similar)
- Automated packaging, pharmaceutical distribution/mfg, or similar industry experience is preferred
- Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing methodologies, Obeya, 5S, Kaizen, NFPA 79, NEC, UL508A
