LHH is supporting a leading mining and infrastructure consumables manufacturer in filling a Geotechnical Engineer position in Clearfield, Utah . This role focuses on providing geotechnical engineering support to hard rock mining customers. The successful candidate will have expertise in remediation of ground falls, rock bolt testing and evaluation, selection of appropriate rock bolts, and assessing geology for structural stability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site visits to customer locations to provide geotechnical expertise.
• Offer technical support and troubleshoot customer issues, providing clear documentation and recommendations for ongoing projects.
• Collaborate in designing, developing, and testing new products or systems that improve operational safety and efficiency.
• Contribute to product innovation through continuous improvement efforts.
• Work closely with field and technical personnel to ensure successful project outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Geotechnical field (required).
• Minimum of three (3) years of hard rock mining experience.
• Valid driver’s license (required).
• Experience working in an underground mining environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong background in geology or geotechnical engineering.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with CAD software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently under pressure.
• Flexible work schedule to meet customer requirements.
• Extensive domestic travel required; occasional international travel required.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000, depending on experience.
