Title: Field Engineer

Location: Needham, MA (Onsite)

Note : Previously worked with MSP client experience is mandatory.

As a Senior Field Engineer , you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures. You will work with cutting-edge technologies like Cisco, Microsoft, and VMware to ensure optimal network performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, wireless)
• Configure and troubleshoot network devices (routers, switches, firewalls)
• Monitor network performance and identify/resolve issues
• Implement network security measures
• Manage server and client systems (Windows, Linux)
• Provide technical support to end-users
• Participate in network projects and documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years' experience in network engineering
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, POP3, IMAP)
• Experience with routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, RIP) and switching technologies (VLANs, STP)
• Experience with firewall technologies (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto) and VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL VPN)
• Experience with wireless networking technologies (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and SQL Server
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE) preferred
