Job Title: Personal Injury Attorney

Location: Torrance, CA

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary: $175,000 - $180,000 per year

Are you a driven and passionate litigator ready to represent seriously injured individuals and seek justice on their behalf? Join a dynamic personal injury litigation and trial practice, where you will work alongside one of California’s top trial attorneys and an experienced legal team. This position offers the opportunity to manage a caseload, litigate cases, participate in depositions and mediations, and gain trial experience in a collaborative and rewarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of 30-40 personal injury cases, acting as lead attorney from filing through trial.
  • Develop case strategies and legal theories to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Take and defend depositions, including those of plaintiffs, defendants, and expert witnesses.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and mediation efforts.
  • Act as second chair in trials, supporting and learning from an experienced trial lawyer.
  • Maintain regular client communication to provide updates and guidance throughout the litigation process.
  • Oversee and direct support staff, including paralegals, to ensure effective case management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation (trial experience highly desired).
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active California State Bar membership in good standing.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload and resolve high-value cases effectively.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and drafting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A client-focused approach with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to professional integrity.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 8-hour shifts.
