firstPRO is seeking a wireless network engineer to join our client onsite in King of Prussia.

Qualifications

• Experience with Wi-Fi and wireless technologies and standards - Point-to-Multi-Point (P2MP) networks, and Wi-Fi infrastructures
• Proficiency with MS Visio and AutoCAD for network design and documentation
• Technical Expertise: Experience with configuring wireless devices, managing servers, routers, switches, hubs, UPS systems, and other network hardware
• Communication Skills: Ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment, communicate effectively with clients, and document network infrastructure comprehensively

Responsibilities

• The Wireless Engineer will participate with the deployment, documentation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all client networks
• Design, configure, and manage diverse network environments, including LANs, WANs, fiber networks, cellular boost systems, Emergency Responder Coverage Enhancement Solutions (ERCES), Point-to-Multi-Point (P2MP) networks, and Wireless infrastructures
• Deploy and maintain servers, routers, switches, hubs, UPS systems, and associated hardware
• Create detailed network designs and project documentation using MS Visio and AutoCAD
• Collaborate on project planning, implementation, and troubleshooting, providing mentorship and guidance as needed to junior staff
• Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including configurations, processes, and service records
• Work closely with department leads to assess and plan for both immediate and long-term network capacity needs
• Create and enforce policies, procedures, and training programs for network management, usage, and disaster recovery planning
• Record all installations and updates made at customer locations to ensure proper tracking and transparency
• Oversee the management of network assets, including inventory and technical specifications
• Regularly monitor network performance, conducting tests and generating reports on key metrics
• Assist in the implementation and management of network security solutions
• Travel to customer sites for site surveys, Wi-Fi network optimization and various project related needs
