firstPRO is seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the company’s IT infrastructure to ensure seamless operation of hardware, software, and networks. This is an onsite, direct hire opportunity that sits in the Bethlehem area.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot networking components, including protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Implement and support virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Design, deploy, and maintain backup solutions and disaster recovery plans.
• Ensure IT security best practices are followed across all systems and processes.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT-related projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years in IT support or a related field.
• Proficiency with Windows and/or Linux server environments.
• Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
• Strong understanding of IT security best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are highly desirable.
