Optomi, in partnership with our oil & gas client, are seeking a SCADA admin to join their team onsite in Corpus Christi or Fort Worth, TX for a 1 year contract to hire!

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain multiple CygNet SCADA systems, ensuring optimal reliability and performance.
• Develop and implement advanced scripting solutions to enhance and tailor the SCADA platform.
• Assist in the process of normalizing and standardizing large datasets to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to design intuitive and effective SCADA user interfaces.
• Provide on-site support to clients by traveling to their locations once a week (typically requiring one overnight stay).
• Be a proactive self-starter, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Tackle technical challenges, create actionable plans, and deliver solutions within set deadlines.
• Implement intermediate-level custom scripting to fulfill specific project needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience working with CygNet SCADA or Ignition SCADA (CygNet experience is preferred).
• Strong scripting and programming skills, particularly in VBScript and Python; SQL knowledge is a plus.
• Experience in data normalization and standardization techniques.
• Familiarity with SCADA screen design concepts is advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to perform well under pressure.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel regularly, including occasional overnight trips.
