Job Title: CAD Drafter/Designer

Summary:

We seek a detail-oriented CAD Drafter/Designer to create and modify technical drawings for building automation systems (BAS). This role involves collaborating with engineers and project managers to ensure accurate documentation of control systems, focusing on mechanical applications within MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed electrical and control system drawings for BAS, including HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management systems.
• Ensure drawings adhere to company standards, industry codes, and safety regulations.
• Review, correct, and update drawings based on project changes, meticulously tracking revisions.
• Collaborate with project managers to meet deadlines and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support the creation of system commissioning and troubleshooting documentation.
• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (365) to incorporate project changes into OMS (Operation, Maintenance, and Surveillance) guides, service manuals, and control warranty letters.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of CAD drafting/design experience in building automation systems (BAS), electrical/controls, or related MEP fields, with a preference for mechanical experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD. Revit experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with BAS, including HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management systems.
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and technical documentation.
• Strong understanding of control systems, sensors, and actuators.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (365) is essential.
