Salary: $100,000 - $120,000

Procurement Manager:

Our client is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to oversee the company’s purchasing operations and ensure a smooth, cost-effective supply chain. This role focuses on managing vendor relationships, developing procurement strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards while optimizing costs and driving operational efficiency.


Procurement Manager Responsibilities:

  • Source and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors to meet business needs.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements to achieve optimal terms.
  • Monitor and review supplier performance to ensure consistent quality and reliability.
  • Design and implement procurement strategies in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Forecast supply needs and manage inventory to support uninterrupted production.
  • Analyze market trends to identify risks and opportunities for cost improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance procurement processes and workflows.
  • Supervise and guide procurement staff, including day-to-day operations of buyers.
  • Ensure timely purchasing aligned with production schedules and business objectives.
  • Develop procurement budgets and monitor actual spending against targets.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives, including streamlining supplier and SKU portfolios.
  • Ensure all materials comply with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and establish contingency plans.
  • Qualify alternative suppliers to reduce dependency on single sources.


Procurement Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications preferred.
  • Significant experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably within the food manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and quality requirements.
  • Proficiency in SAP and other procurement systems is required.
  • Exceptional negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with expertise in procurement data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and lead teams effectively.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
