IntePros is seeking a Transportation Sustainability Specialist to join our global client in Arlington, VA. This role is critical in advancing the organization's sustainability initiatives by collecting, analyzing, and reporting transportation-related sustainability data, with a primary focus on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various teams to ensure precise GHG accounting and contribute to emissions reduction strategies that align with the company’s sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive data collection system to gather transportation-related data, including fuel consumption, vehicle mileage, and other metrics, from the company’s global vehicle fleet.
- Analyze transportation data to calculate Scope 1, Scope 2, and applicable Scope 3 GHG emissions, adhering to established accounting standards (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO 14064).
- Create detailed reports, dashboards, and visualizations to effectively communicate the organization’s carbon footprint to internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with fleet management, procurement, and other teams to identify and implement strategies for improving fuel efficiency, adopting alternative fuels, and optimizing transportation activities to minimize emissions.
- Stay informed about evolving GHG accounting standards, methodologies, and industry best practices, and enhance internal processes accordingly.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support decision-making on fleet composition, route optimization, supply chain logistics, and other sustainability initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, engineering, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in GHG accounting, emissions reporting, or sustainability data management.
