Procurement Specialist

Purpose/Scope:

Support design studio purchasing, inventory, shipping & receiving and organization of materials & supplies. Working closely with fabrication shop and clay sculpting departments making sure their project needs are met, delivered and organized with accuracy in and efficiency.

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Liaison between Purchasing and Design / Fabrication requestors
2. Process procurement requests for studio supplies and fabrication materials
3. Status updates to requestors on purchase order generation and delivery timelines
4. Guide staff through purchasing processes to avoid pre-commitments and ensure all policies are followed
5. Collaborate with Purchasing and Vendors to gather cost estimates
6. Set up P2P for vendors as necessary to share confidential information
7. Point of contact for all vendors using PO’s (materials, services, & show cars)
8. Distribution of incoming orders and submission of packing slips for processing

Requirements, Skills & Ability:

1. Experience in eSAP and Ariba systems
2. 3 plus years of experience in capital management and purchasing is preferred
3. Demonstrated high level of analytical, organizational, problem solving, and project management skills.
4. High level user of Excel in data analysis. Competence in MS Office Suite.
5. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
6. Procurement experience in a manufacturing and/or design studio environment

Work in a team based, cross-functional environment interacting face-to-face on a daily basis

Must be able to work in a fast paced and demanding environment

Other duties outside of role may be assigned, as necessary.

Occasional local travel (50 mile radius) to vendors

Available to work OT when business requires.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree is a must

2-4 years of purchasing & inventory experience in a corporate environment

Working experience in a creative/design environment is a plus

Full-time 8 hour shift (onsite/in-studio)
